Shivworks products are professional-grade edged and defensive tools.
They are designed for performance, not novelty.

Ownership carries responsibility.

1. Legal Compliance (South Africa)

Hoolifit Ltd is the official South African importer and distributor of Shivworks products.

All products are sold subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws relating to:

  • Possession

  • Carry

  • Transportation

  • Storage

  • Use

Hoolifit does not provide legal advice regarding lawful carry in specific municipalities or environments.

Before carrying any edged tool in public, you should understand how South African law applies to your circumstances.

2. Age Restriction

You must be 18 years or older to purchase any knife or defensive tool from Hoolifit.

By purchasing, you confirm that you meet this requirement and are legally permitted to possess the product.

3. Inherent Risk Notice (CPA Section 49)

Edged tools are capable of causing serious injury.

Improper, negligent, reckless or unlawful use may result in:

  • Severe bodily injury

  • Criminal liability

  • Civil liability

By purchasing from Hoolifit, you acknowledge:

  • You understand the inherent risks associated with edged tools.

  • You accept responsibility for lawful and safe handling.

  • You will exercise reasonable care in storage and use.

  • You will take reasonable steps to prevent access by minors or unauthorised persons.

Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

4. Safe Handling & Storage

Minimum responsible standards include:

  • Store securely and out of reach of minors.

  • Do not modify or alter the product.

  • Do not use under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Maintain the product in safe operating condition.

  • Do not use for unlawful purposes.

Professional-grade tools require disciplined handling.

5. Training & Competence

Defensive tools are most effective when paired with proper training.

We strongly encourage:

  • Lawful defensive training

  • Situational awareness education

  • Understanding proportional force principles under South African law

Equipment without competence increases risk.

6. Lawful Purpose Statement

Shivworks products are sold strictly for lawful purposes.

Hoolifit reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service

  • Cancel orders

  • Decline shipment

Where unlawful intent is suspected.
